Linkedin Funnies

Linkedin Funnies

Sparked by reading a colleague’s rather amusing recommendation on Linkedin, I’ve decided to start collecting “Linkedin Funnies”. If you spot something funny on Linkedin – either in a profile or recommendation or wherever – then please leave a comment on this post.

Here are the funnies I’ve found so far:

The first recommendation, to my mind, is a work of sarcastic genius:
Linkedin funny

Next is a rather nicer recommendation:

Linkedin funny

The third is perhaps not laugh-out-loud funny – but is quite well done:

Linkedin funny

So do you have any better examples of funny profiles or recommendations? Drop them on a comment or email and I’ll get them up here.

Thanks!

All four of these came from one LinkedIN guy’s profile recommendations – the funny thing about it is that half of the people accepted his recommendation without reading them – so it’s sitting there on their profiles too.

(1) So, Rick asked me “Can you endorse me?” Dude, I do NOT know you – We have NEVER met I have NEVER spoken with you – we have NEVER even swapped an e-mail… So what would you like me to say? “Rick is a Good Value” This is one of many reasons LinkedIN is worthless – people like you asking strangers for a recommendations. (2) Re: his request: “Can you endorse me?” I have NO clue who this person is; never met him; never spoke to him; never worked with him; so I have no clue why he thinks I can endorse him. I have only checked the ‘Top Attributes” above because Li requires that you do so – they have NO relevance. This is the problem with LI; it has become another Craigslist Dating Service… September 30, 2009

(3) Ignore the attributes listed… Totally irrelevant – just a Linkedin thing. “Can you endorse me”; he asks; of a total stranger – never met him or worked with him! 1. Why would you ask someone that doesn’t know you for an endorsement? 2. What possible value is there in an endorsement from someone that Does Not Know you? 3. Who cares if the profile is at: 100% complete.? March 26, 2009

(4) re: Can you endorse me? She asked. I do not know her! Suggest she use craigslist for dates – NOT Linkedin… February 3, 2009
