One of the questions I hear most about Active Campaign in Facebook Groups or people dropping me emails is "where can I find a decent, responsive, good looking email template?"
You know the sort: looks like plain text but is html so allows tracking, simple formatting and images.
That looks like the sort of email a friend or business colleague might send you.
And that looks great on desktop AND mobile. Without tiny text, super long lines or artificial page breaks.
Well, a little while back I created just such a template for my own use. And now you can get a copy too.
The template is for the "legacy html editor". Personally I don't like the emails the new drag and drop editor creates so I use the legacy editor (as do most Active Campaign expert users that I know). You can still do visual editing with the old editor - it's a lot like the Wordpress editor.
What you'll need to do is copy the the below, then go to the Campaigns section in Active Campaign, click on Manage Templates, then on the New Template button, give your template a name, then select Custom HTML and press OK.
Paste the html below into the box on the left and you'll see three things:
You can now click on Save and Exit and your template is now available to use. Whenever you want to create a new email just select this template. You'll go to a screen with the HTML version of the template but you'll want to click the little screen icon on the top right to switch to the visual editor.
And that's it. Have fun with your new simple, responsive template for Active Campaign.
