I agree! Why do podcasts, etc seem to take so long? I much prefer to speed-read, and God forbid, print out interesting stuff to annotate. Keep the writing coming! I look forward to reading more...

Hi Jayne.

Sounds like we think along similar lines.

I'd be wary though before abandoning plans to use video and other media. It seems like we're in the minority when it comes to preferring text! The statistics show that a lot of people prefer video and audio - despite the drawbacks I've highlighted. They're even finding that there's a whole generation of folks who do their searching on youtube rather than google - because they wan't to see explanations & talks on video not text.

Best Regards

Ian

Ian I like this post. I have been considering the use of video or a recorded slideshow presentation but, on reflection, perhaps I'm taking the easy why out and not spending enough time writing (which I find quite hard, believe it or not).

Like you, I don't sign up for webinars. Once, I wasted half an afternoon listening to the latest updates in digital dictation technology and have never been so bored in my life. So why I was thinking of creating one for my website beats me. Perhaps I like gadgets and gizmos just a little too much and I really should focus on those items that do give great value.

Your blog is very informative and I look forward to your updates.

Thanks.
