Hi! I’m Ian Brodie.
I run a consulting/coaching business specialized in helping consultants, coaches, trainers and other professionals to attract more clients and win more new business.
I help them across a broad range of areas – from defining their marketing strategy to implementing client attraction programs, to improving their personal business development skills.
But the way in which I get most of my clients – and the area in which I’m increasingly specializing – is via the web.
I currently get over two thirds of my clients via the web. And since it’s working while I’m out doing client work (or sleeping/eating/watching football) it’s helped get me off the treadmill of having to trade off business development time vs client work time (and leisure time).
It’s a great equaliser too – if you know what you’re doing. From my little office in my back room in the Cheshire countryside, I currently get more visitors to my site than some of the top 50 consulting firms globally.
On this site I’ll be sharing the strategies and techniques I’ve used to get all that traffic and to get clients via the web.
It’s not rocket science. But you do need to know what you’re doing.
This site will help you get more clients online. Sometimes it’ll be little hints and tips. Other times it’ll be big strategic ideas.
But all of it will be focused on growing your business online.

On a personal note, I’m married to the wonderful Kathy, and we have two children – Chris & Robs, and two large lazy cats.
I also suffer from being a supporter of Newcastle United – so not surprisingly my mood varies significantly depending on how horrifically they have been playing or which dodgy billionaire has decided to buy us this month.
